The Road Test will be conducted in our vehicle on the city streets. Please bring current identification. If you have a current NM State ID, that is all we will need to administer the road test. A current, out-of-state ID or federally issued picture ID will need to be accompanied by your social security card. If you do not have current identification, a certified copy of your birth certificate and your social security card will be required. Once scheduled, you must notify us by phone, by close of business the day before your appointment if you wish to cancel and receive a refund, or reschedule at no charge. 4. McGinnis Minimum: Classroom and Driving
|
State of New Mexico minimum requirement for underage licensing:

- 7 hours of required driving lessons
Anyone age 15-17 is required to complete a basic driver's education course consisting of a minimum: 30 hours classroom and 7 hours professional driving instruction to be eligible for a driver's license prior to the age 18. With this package, a student would take the written exam at the NM motor vehicle department when applying for the learner's permit. After completing the driving lessons with us, logging 50 hours of practice driving, and holding the permit for a minimum of 6 months, a student would then schedule an appointment with NM MVD to take the Road Test before applying for the Driver's License.
